"Seminar on the Frontiers of Statistics in the AI Era" Successfully Held
On March 6, Seminar on the Frontiers of Statistics in the AI Era was organized in Room 1016 of Mingde Main Building. The event was chaired by Dean Yang Li. Vice Deans Xiaoling Lü and Jianxin Yin, along with faculty members from the School of Statistics at Renmin University of China—including Professors Hui Huang and Xing Wang, Associate Professors, and Assistant Professors—participated in the discussion.
In the realm of theoretical research, faculty members discussed cutting-edge topics around Statistics and AI. Focusing on the long-term development of the statistics discipline, they emphasized the need for deep integration across multiple fields and advocated enhancing the capacity to translate theoretical achievements into practical applications. They also highlighted the strengths of the statistics discipline in the AI era and called for closer alignment between technological advancements and real-world scenarios to drive intelligent innovation in related industries.
