The School of Statistics at Renmin University of China (RUC) and the School of Statistics and Data Science at Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics (XUFE) formally signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen collaboration in research, academic exchange, and talent development. 

The signing ceremony was attended by Dean Yang Li, Vice Dean Xiaoling Lü, and Associate Professor Guangyuan Gao from RUC, along with Dean Jian He and Vice Dean Hailong Chen from XUFE. The event was hosted by Vice Dean Xiaoling Lü.

Dean Yang Li warmly welcomed the delegation and emphasized the historical ties between the two universities, expressing hopes for deeper cooperation to drive innovation in the discipline of statistics. Dean Jian He expressed appreciation for RUC’s support and introduced XUFE’s faculty and disciplinary strengths, highlighting the importance of the partnership in advancing statistical education in frontier regions.

Other leaders from both sides shared insights on research, faculty development, party-building efforts, and student engagement, envisioning a collaborative future that integrates frontier-specific statistical innovation and interdisciplinary exchange.
