From November 6 to 10, Yang Li, Dean of the School of Statistics at Renmin University of China (RUC), led a delegation to Hong Kong to strengthen academic ties with institutions in the Greater Bay Area. The visit included key meetings with Hong Kong City University (CityU) Business School and The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Department of Statistics.

At CityU, Dean Yang Li and Dean Ka Lok Chan signed a Memorandum of Academic Cooperation to enhance research and talent development. Discussions covered joint undergraduate and graduate programs, summer research initiatives, and student exchanges. At CUHK, productive talks were held with Department Head Junhui Wang and faculty members on collaborative research, faculty visits, and dual-degree opportunities.

The delegation also hosted an alumni gathering, reconnecting with graduates and discussing career development and alumni engagement in the Greater Bay Area.

This visit reinforced RUC Statistics' commitment to regional academic collaboration and alumni relations.
