From November 13 to 17, Xiaoling Lu, Vice Dean of the School of Statistics at Renmin University of China (RUC), led a delegation to The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and The University of Hong Kong (HKU) to strengthen academic ties.

At CUHK, RUC faculty members Chunyan Wang and Feng Zhou presented their research on orthogonal designs and Bayesian few-shot classification, respectively. CUHK researchers Gen Li and Guang Yang shared their work on diffusion models and individualized regression, respectively. Junhui Wang, Head of CUHK's Department of Statistics, and Ben Dai participated in the discussions.

At HKU, RUC faculty members Guangyuan Gao and Tao Sun introduced innovative methods in additive tree models and neural networks for interval-censored data, respectively. The presentations were attended by Guosheng Yin, Long Feng, Yu Gu, and other HKU faculty, fostering in-depth academic exchanges.

The delegation also visited the Hong Kong Heritage Museum to explore local culture and history. This visit deepened mutual understanding and laid the groundwork for future collaboration.
