The School of Statistics demonstrated exceptional athletic performance at this year’s university annual sports meet on October 26, 2024. The school achieved remarkable overall results, placing third overall in the team standings while securing second place in the women's competition and fourth place in the men's competition. The event featured comprehensive participation from school leadership, including Dean Li Yang and other senior faculty, alongside more than thirty student athletes who represented the school with distinction.

Individual achievements highlighted the depth of athletic talent within the school, with notable performances across multiple disciplines. Cen Wanting emerged as a standout competitor, achieving a double first place in both the women's 50-meter and 100-meter sprints with impressive times of 7.79 seconds and 14.98 seconds, respectively. Pan Zhaoyuan secured first place in the men's long jump with a distance of 5.45 meters, while Liu Yu achieved strong placements in middle-distance running. The school demonstrated particular strength in team events, notably securing second place in the shuttlecock competition with 113 consecutive kicks, showcasing the coordination and teamwork of the statistics student body.

The competition served as both an athletic showcase and a demonstration of institutional values, emphasizing the integration of physical fitness with academic excellence. Two students in particular, Zhu Feng and Zhou Chao, received recognition as "Physical Fitness Champions" based on their outstanding annual fitness assessments.
